$100,000.00 Settlement for 21 Year Old Female College Student Who Was Injured in a Motor Vehicle Accident
On January 5, 2009, a 21 year old college student was a passenger in a motor vehicle which was operated by a fellow college student who suddenly made a left hand turn in front of another vehicle in Orange, Connecticut, causing the other vehicle to broadside the student’s motor vehicle and further causing the plaintiff to sustain severe injuries, damages and losses. The plaintiff subsequently developed neck and back pain as well as a mild traumatic brain injury and was referred to a neuropsychologist who determined that the plaintiff had sustained adjustment reaction with depression and anxiety and an adjustment reaction with physical symptoms, as a result of the accident. Suit was instituted in New Haven Super Court against the owners and operators of both vehicles and the case settled for $100,000.00 following a mediation that was held shortly before trial.
