Pharmaceutical Liability
The manufactures of pharmaceutical products such as prescription drugs are required to insure that their products are safe for use by consumers. There have been numerous drug recalls in recent years as well as lawsuits against drug manufacturers which have shed the spotlight on drug manufacturers and their products and whether or not they are safe for use by consumers.
Drugs such as Celebrex, Bextra, Vioxx and Oxicontin, among other drugs, have been subject to recent recalls by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In 2013 alone the Food and Drug Administration reports over 50 drug recalls in the United States. These recalls included drugs such as Mitosol, Omontys Injection, all Medpred Compounded Products, Hospira 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injections, Warfarin, and Altaire Pharmaceuticals Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium 0.5% ophthalmic solution. You can find the complete list of pharmaceutical recalls here.
If you feel that you or a family member has been injured as a result of the use of a prescription drug, you should consult with an experienced attorney right away in order to preserve your right to bring a claim against the pharmaceutical company that manufactured the drug.
Attorney Michael P. Foley Jr., working with another firm, has had experience in the representation of consumers who have been injured as a result of their use of prescription drugs.
